ASSISTED LIVING
Assisted living is a long-term care option that provides a combination of housing, personal care services, social and wellness programs and access to health care. Assisted living communities offer multi-faceted settings and programs intended to assist with routine daily activities and promote maximum independence. Assisted Living is licensed and regulated by the Agency for Health Care Administration in the state of Florida.
MEMORY CARE
Memory care is specialized care for those with Alzheimer’s or other dementia related disorders. Assisted living providers may exclusively serve residents with memory disorders while other communities who offer memory care may have a designated area or wing located on the campus. Memory care communities provide specific programming and the staff have received specialized training to work with residents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia related disorders. These communities have monitoring and other specific architectural features to increase security and safety.
INDEPENDENT LIVING
Independent living is designed for older adults who require little or no assistance with the activities of daily living but want the conveniences of living within a community that offers services and amenities. These include but are not limited to housekeeping, laundry, and full service dining options. There is a focus on social and wellness programs, however personal care and nursing services are not provided. Residents of independent units may contract to receive home health services from in-house staff or an outside agency as needed and ordered by their health care provider.
