Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Care Seminars
ake the path to certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP®) by participating in the Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care Seminar approved by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). This is the required seminar for qualified individuals pursuing CDP® certification, or those seeking further education and training in Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care.
The CDP® certification is a compliment to the professional credentials and training you have already obtained in your chosen profession. A CDP® certification reflects a deep personal commitment and dedication, which inspires confidence in the professional’s ability to provide quality care to the dementia resident. This certification represents that the individual has received comprehensive knowledge in dementia care, achievement in completing the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care course/seminar, met the NCCDP requirements for CDP® certification and has received the CDP® certification.
This course is available to assisted living communities, memory care communities, caregivers, health care practitioners, law enforcement, community organizations, public guardians, ombudsman and anyone else who is interested in learning about dementia.
Attendees will receive a training manual, seven CEUs and information on how to apply to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner. A light breakfast and lunch are included.
