FSLA offers professional development courses for administrators, managers, and senior living staff who want to receive an update on current rules and regulations. FSLA’s Professional Education Program focuses on laws and rules specific to your operations in Florida. The ​courses offered ​meet ​the ​continuing ​education ​requirements ​in ​Florida ​Statutes ​429.52.

Inaugural Annual Maintenance Workshop

Maintenance teams are critical to a well-managed senior living community. This 6-hour workshop is designed for maintenance leaders at all levels and provides the latest information on streamlining daily operations, emergency management and evacuations, physical plant updates, small project management and technology.

The workshop will be held at HarborChase of Dr. Phillips in Orlando on Oct. 30. Early registration is recommended.



2018 Update for Assisted Living Regulations

The purpose of this continuing education course (1.5 credits) is to educate administrators, executive directors, and staff of assisted living communities on the recent changes to assisted living regulations. The focus will be on the revisions to Rule Chapter 58A-5, F.A.C., effective May 10, 2018 and the statutory changes in Chapter 429, F.S., effective July 1, 2018.

Completion of this course will provide 1.5 hours of CE credit. Training can be completed online at the user’s convenience.
