COVID-19 Early ID and Rapid Response in ALFs
June 5, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm UTC-4
FreePlease join us for Part I of a 2-part series for Florida’s Assisted Living providers – FREE!
Florida’s Assisted Living Facilities recognize that rapid action to identify and isolate potential or confirmed COVID-19 positive persons is critical to minimize further spread of this highly infectious virus.
Daily screening, observation, and baseline testing contribute to early identification of residents who call assisted living their home. Responding to a potential outbreak is entirely different, too, for Assisted Living Facilities serving residents in memory care units, an environment that’s little understood by external stakeholders.
As the statewide testing initiative ramps up with thousands more tests occurring through the Florida Department of Health and commercial laboratories, providers, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders can expect to encounter more positive cases many of which may be asymptomatic.
The Florida Senior Living Association is offering a new 2-part webinar series that will address today’s most pressing issues faced by Assisted Living Facilities as they continue to manage this unprecedented health crisis.
Attendees of this free webinar, Early Identification and Rapid Response, will learn practical solutions for developing quick, scalable identification and response actions that work for assisted living.
Attendees will identify:
· steps to assist in preventing a COVID-19 outbreak in an ALF
· the importance of early identification and key tools
· actions needed when a suspected case of COVID-19 is identified
· steps needed when a resident or team member tests positive for COVID-19
· options to help prevent and manage a COVID-19 outbreak in the memory support environment.
Don’t Miss Part 2!
Mark your calendar for June 12 for the continuation of this 2-part webinar series: Dedicated Care Teams. Registration will open next week. Watch your communication channels for more information.
