The Florida Senior Living Association’s Professional Development Program focuses on laws and rules specific to your operations in Florida.
Assisted living administrators must first complete a 26-hour course taught by a state-approved ALF Core Trainer. They must then register and pass a state exam provided by the University of South Florida.
Florida Senior Living Association’s Core Training courses are scheduled in conjunction with USF’s scheduled ALF Exam dates and locations.
Once a candidate passes the exam, they will receive a certificate from the state. After that, an administrator must complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years on subject matters related to assisted living.
